Our History

North Point Christian Academy began in 2000. The Holy Spirit impressed Pastor Rodney Agan to begin a Christian school to help train young people in the way the Lord would have them to go.  Pastor Agan has had essentially a life-long commitment to Christian education as he attended and graduated from a Christian school and his children have followed the same course.

Realizing the philosophy and direction of government schools, North Point Baptist Church followed Pastor Agan’s leadership in beginning the North Point Christian Academy to the glory of God.

North Point Christian Academy began as a Pre-K program with higher grades being added each year.  Eleven students were enrolled in its first year.  The school added a daycare campus in 2005 which has since been merged onto the current property.  Our academy has grown steadily and currently has over 265 students enrolled for 2010-2011.

Classes began in the facilities of the North Point Baptist Church on our old Maple Street campus in Carrollton.  As the church and academy experienced continued growth, it became apparent that more space was needed.  Through much prayer and planning under the leadership of Pastor Agan, the Lord enabled North Point Baptist Church to purchase 42 acres at the intersection of Cedar Street and the Highway 166 By-pass in Carrollton.

Construction commenced in 2007 and the academy moved into the new Cedar Street facility in January 2008.  The new school buildings include 24 classrooms, a library, increased office space, two commercial kitchens, a cafeteria, full-sized gymnasium with two regulation basketball courts, and a walking track.  Our latest addition is a new football/athletic field.

We are excited to see what the Lord has for North Point Christian Academy in the future!
